History

Os Três Boqueteiros (The Three Blowjobeers):

One day in August 2011 my mom came home with a cardboard box, the way she said "guess what I got" I already knew what it was. Three kittens barely opening their eyes, and someone had left them on the sidewalk. We are not noobs so we knew what to do, a vet had taught us a formula recipe using milk, yolk, honey, vitamins and "farinha lactea" (a fortified baby cereal made from grains and milk, used to make porridge), it smelled so good we wanted to try it ourselves lol - but the main thing about treating kittens so small is that they hadn't fully developed their digestive and urinary systems yet, their mother would lick them to help them pee and poo, so from time to time we'd use a wet wipe on their parts to stimulate them... peeing comes from day one, but it takes a while for them to start pooping, and what a celebration it was the first time they did.
Noob Saibot, Dali and Will . We soon started calling them "The Three Blowjobeers" because of this peculiar habit they developed... they'd often try to nurse on each other's dicks, even forming a blowjob triangle lol - of course there was nothing sexual about it, it was just odd to watch, but they weren't hurting each other, so what? They started using each other as pacifiers, and it took them like two years to drop that.

Brain Damaged Love:

It was very early in the morning when I found Saibot, still a few weeks old, on the ground screaming nonstop with his body completely limp. I woke up my mom, who had just gone to sleep a few hours prior, and we drove to the nearest vet, which was like 20km away through muddy roads between farms, and he wouldn't stop screaming for a moment. My mom didn't think Saibot would even reach there, and the vet said he had fluids in his thorax and head, he wasn't sure what happened, I suspect he tried to climb on something, fell, and hit his head. The vet just gave him a shot of anti-inflammatories and something for the pain, he wasn't expecting Saibot to live, and said that if he did, he would probably have lasting effects.

Saibot spent the next 10 hours sleeping in my arms, I didn't let go of him, and that afternoon he woke up and started eating like nothing had happened.
I really believe this was a defining moment in our connection. Nobody was expecting him to survive, but I just kept hugging him and he recovered. At least this is what my mother tells everybody about why he is so attached to me.

For a few years I was playing in a band and if I was out for the whole weekend (playing in other cities) he would start pissing blood because I was away. I'd have to always try to come back in the same day only for his sake, and people probably thought I was insane, being dramatic, or making excuses when out of nowhere I'd tell them it was time for me to leave because I had to get back to my city to take care of my cat, who I left alone just for a few hours lol.
In 2019, when my father moved to my current city, every week I'd go one day to his place so we'd make a nice dinner, watch some movies and then I'd sleep there and come back home the next morning. Saibot started licking and scratching himself nonstop, removing all his fur and bruising his skin... yes, motherfucker started having anxiety attacks! First thing I did was not letting him sleep alone anymore, but to get him out of the anxiety crisis took a long time. Shots of long-lasting antihistamines would help a little but they are not something you can do forever, I got him surgical clothes but they wouldn't cover his neck and then he would pull his paws back inside the long sleeves and get trapped, I'd wake up the whole night when I heard him licking or scratching himself and would put my hand on him to cover the place he was licking/scratching, or would try to put the blankets all over him letting only his head out so he couldn't hurt himself. In some moments I had to resort to coning him. But then I found this nice seamstress lady and she started making custom clothes for him, with short sleeves and long necks - yeah, he got his own stylist! - and then everything got better. I also tried treating him with cannabidiol for his anxiety, and I can't say if it helped or not, honestly I don't think it did, and he hated it (would be slobbering for several minutes after taking the drops).
For a few years these anxiety crises would come and go until we finally beat it. But after The Barbarian Invasion I got really worried he would go back to it, so I kinda doubled somehow the attention I give him as a preemptive measure, and he got even more cocky around the other pets, but hey, it worked, and he has been fine.

Being a Pãe and a Caregiver:

Whenever a new cat moves in it needs some time to aclimate and understand it's a safe place and his new home. Usually the other cats get pretty hostile at newcommers, and adult cats can handle themselves, but orphan kittens need someone to run to when scared, so new kittens always moved to my bedroom and would sleep with me. Dali would always get mad and leave my room when new kittens arrived, but Saibot would never leave my side, and as I would get mad whenever he was hostile toward new kittens, he learned that to be with me he would need to tolerate the new family members... but turns out he is a softie, and more than tolerating he started taking care of them, and after the first he just started welcoming them.

Kittens he had taken care of were Casaqueto , Agathinha , Magali , Clubber and Fire . However, when I rescued Bel, Emma, Luke and Doralice it took a new turn. Bel was like 4 months old or so already, so he didn't care much about Saibot, but the other three were barely a month old, and as Saibot embraced them they just adopted him as their mother and started nursing on him - his nipples would look like chocolate sprinkles afterward, but he didn't seem to care.
While the other three detached, to this day Emma doesn't leave his side, and just lay over him ignoring she is bigger than he is now, and will still try to nurse - but nowadays he just kicks her out, enough is enough.

Saibot is very empathetic and not just with other cats. My mom has some health issues, and whenever she has a crises he leaves my side and goes sit on her lap and purr her to sleep. I guess he learned from his accident that physical contact is healing, and he is trying to send good vibes.
