Love Hormones:

  In 2014 a neighbor saw her being thrown out of a car into a pile of rocks by the side of the road, picked her up and asked if we could keep her. Petra's name comes from that.
  Petra was nursing when she was abandoned, we don't know what happened to the kittens, but her milk started to dry up and become engorged, so we had to give her an hormone that would stop milk production and use hot water bottle to relieve her. Man, those hormones drove her crazy. She has never been so lovely, she would be licking us all day long, and she was absolutely in love with Casaqueto ^† and Anarquia ^† as well. She wanted to cuddle and lick all day long.
 

 
Cursed Name:

  So her name came from the rocks (pedras) she was found on, and then her milk started to engorge (empedrar), but that's not just it... somehow the fucker decided she doesn't want to drink water. Every other month she was having cystitis and we had to give her antibiotics and anti-inflammatories, then in January 2022 she needed to surgically remove her bladder stones (pedras) because they got too big, and then she needed to do it again in April!
  Bitch wasn't drinking water so I decided to start force-hydrating her, giving about 60ml from three to four times a day, and whenever I stopped doing it to see if she would start drinking on her own, she would just get cystitis again! It's like she enjoys trying to piss every 5min and not being able to, and then pissing blood.
  Nowadays I don't even call her Petra, only Gordinha, I'm afraid of calling for more pedras. Force-hydrating worked, though - but she takes revenge on me by biting and attacking my feet when I'm walking away after giving her water.
