What is Neocities?

  The Internet started as a new world of freedom and possibilities but has now become a synonym for three or four apps on your phone. Surfing the Web before Big Tech took over was wild, you never knew what you would find exploring menus and links. Every site screamed with creativity and personality. Personal sites as personal as it gets, intense and insane art projects, fan pages, everything. The Internet was made by people and for people, not by corporations for targeted ads.

  Neocities is a project by a guy named Kyle Drake, who appears to be very nostalgic of Web 1.0 and gave us a free service to host static websites and express ourselves with more freedom than big platforms would allow. The community that has formed here is amazing. While surfing neocities I have been finding a lot of interesting people showing their unique world and life views and displaying all their creativity. I'm linking my favorites below - but some I didn't find buttons!

  Update: I'm thoroughly disappointed by the censoring of Divinicide. I expected more than this Facebook-like moderation from you, Kyle.
